Stingray
Before Thunderbirds, Stingray was a popular show created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. It was the first British TV program filmed entirely in color. It featured a combat submarine that had been built for speed and maneuverability. The submarine, Stingray, was the flagship for the World Aquanaut Security Patrol (WASP), which was a security organization based in Marineville. The television show lasted 39 episodes, but only one season. The members of WASP faced a number of underwater races, specifically the hostile one called the Aquaphibians, under command of their king, Titan. Titan's main goal is to destroy Stingray and Marineville, but because his spy on land, Surface Agent X-Two-Zero, continues to fail his missions, Titan can never succeed. Titan owned a slave, Marina, a mute woman who can breathe underwater, who was rescued by Troy Tempest, the captain of Stingray. From that time on, Marina falls in love with Troy. Other members of the World Aquanaut Security Patrol include Lieutenant George Lee Sheridan, nicknamed "Phones" because he's Stingray's hydrophone operator, Commander Samuel Shore and Sub-Lieutenant John Fisher. Commander Samuel Shore's daughter, Atlanta Shore, also loves Troy Tempest.

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons
The Mysterons are a strange form of life accidentally discovered on Mars by Spectrum agent Captain Black. Black's team opened fire on the Mysteron's home in self defense from what they thought were weapons. The Mysteron's base mysteriously regenerated. A mysterious voice communicated to the adventurers, telling them that they have discovered the secret of reversing matter, and that one of them would be under their control. That agent would avenge the Mysterons and assinate the World President. The Mysteron agent is Captain Black. As Captain Scarlet travels with Captain Brown to pick up the World President, their car is sabotaged by the Mysterons and veers off the road, into a ball of fire. The Mysteron's use their reversing matter powers to regenerate Captain Scarlet's body, and he is now a Mysteron agent. When he attempts to murder the world president, he is shot, and falls off the roof of the London Car Vu (View). He survives and regains his own will, becoming an indestructable agent and Spectrum's greatest weapon!
